Global visibility

Abode Worldwide elevated 3Sixty’s brand visibility across EMEA, APAC, and the US — building credibility with key decision-makers in mobility and travel.

Consistent media wins

With a high-return PR process, 3Sixty now receives consistent press hits a month across top-tier and niche business travel publications.

Credibility through awards

Reframed and strengthened award submissions led to multiple wins and shortlists, bolstering 3Sixty’s authority in a competitive market.

Company Overview

3Sixty, a subsidiary of Reside, is a global marketplace offering vetted, extended-stay accommodations for traveling employees. With over 1 million accommodation options across 60+ countries and more than three decades of experience, 3Sixty blends cutting-edge technology and white-glove service to help mobility leaders house their people safely and comfortably.

At the heart of its platform is HomeMatch™ — a powerful combination of machine learning and human expertise that matches corporate travelers with compliant, cost-effective stays. 3Sixty works with some of the world’s biggest employers, including Microsoft, Meta, and Amazon, helping them navigate the complexity of global corporate housing.

But with increasing competition from flashy proptech startups and aggregators vying for the same enterprise contracts, 3Sixty needed help standing out, especially in newer markets outside the US.

The Challenge

Despite being a trusted name in corporate housing, 3Sixty faced a dual challenge: staying top-of-mind in their home market (US) while expanding awareness in EMEA and APAC.

The 3Sixty team had launched a tech-driven marketplace, but now needed to cement its position as thought leaders in duty of care and relocation, and articulate its value in a way that felt fresh.

The audience fragmentation was adding pressure. 3Sixty’s buyer persona — mobility leaders and travel program managers — was distinct from Reside’s growing portfolio of real estate developers and property owners. Meanwhile, a major partnership between Reside and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts was unfolding, introducing a new layer of complexity and messaging needs.

“Essentially, we used to be one company, and we’re quickly becoming two separate companies with two separate charges. And it’s this intermediary space that gets really messy,” said Carrie Hartman, President of 3Sixty.

3Sixty also needed a PR strategy that could cut through the noise of a crowded space. Corporate housing receives limited editorial attention, and many relevant, niche outlets require a combination of earned opportunities and commercial partnerships or pay-to-play features.

On top of that, the internal team was short on time. “Our account could be really frustrating for the wrong type of PR company because it requires a lot of nimbleness and willingness to think outside the box,” Carrie noted.

Our Solution

Messaging for a dual brand identity

Abode stepped in to help 3Sixty define and separate its brand narratives. While Reside’s message centered on development and property management, 3Sixty’s core story focused on user experience, traveler safety and duty of care, as well as corporate travel program cost optimization.

“They’ve been exceptional at keeping those siloed when they need to be, melding them when it’s beneficial for us, and helping us to not create brand confusion out in the ecosphere,” said Carrie.

Through ongoing collaboration, we have helped 3Sixty refine its positioning for different global audiences and use cases.

“The visibility piece has been huge. CEOs, presidents, and leaders of mobility are reading these articles and reaching out directly. The ROI has been really strong.”

Elevating executive thought leadership

Over the past year, we secured over 160 high-quality media placements for 3Sixty, including influential coverage in top-tier outlets such as Forbes, US News & World Report, The Boston Globe, The Seattle Times, and Yahoo! Finance.

Our efforts also increased 3Sixty’s visibility among large-volume travel buyers and corporate travel managers, earning high-impact coverage in targeted publications such as Business Travel News, The Business Travel Magazine, Business Travel Executive, Serviced Apartment News, and Relocate Magazine.

One of our initiatives was to position Carrie Hartman as a leading voice in the industry by securing thought leadership opportunities and expert commentary in top-tier outlets.

“Now, I have quotes that are showing up in five to ten publications in a month,” Carrie said. “At this point, the Abode team knows how to answer questions and formulate quotes for me. That’s how efficient we’ve gotten.”

Key highlights of thought leadership include:

  • Hospitality Net’s The Hotel Yearbook 2025 included an article by Carrie Hartman on trends in corporate housing and business travel
  • Relocate Magazine published a bylined article by Carrie Hartman on how technology revolutionizes RFPs
  • Reside co-founder Lee Curtis appeared on the Slick Talk podcast to talk about redefining extended stays

An awards strategy that wins

Industry awards are a powerful trust signal, especially in corporate travel. We helped elevate 3Sixty’s submissions by reframing its story, aligning entries with category expectations, and ensuring every nomination spotlighted results.

“Our industry tends to be really award-heavy,” Carrie said. “Abode has helped us reframe how to better our submissions, strengthen them — they’re infinitely helpful there.”

Recent wins and nominations include:

  • Carrie Hartman honored among Women Innovating the Way We Travel (WINiT) ‘Top 50 Women in Travel’ by the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) foundation
  • Reside CTO Robyn Joliat named among the 2024 WINiT Top 50 Honorees in the category FollowHer: Legends and Mentors by the GBTA foundation
  • 3Sixty highly commended for FEM’s 2024 APAC EMMAs
  • 3Sixty shortlisted for the Think Global People and Relocate Awards 2024
  • 3Sixty listed in several categories of the 2025 CHPA Tower of Excellence Awards

This blend of strategic messaging, thought leadership, and awards allowed us to increase Reside and 3Sixty’s share of voice in key business travel and corporate housing media from 7.2% to 66.3% in under a year.

The Results

“Abode has been paramount in helping us get the messaging out and not have it be confused.”

In just over a year, 3Sixty has transformed its visibility, influence, and reputation — all while staying true to its core values of safety, compliance, and care.

“The visibility piece has been huge. CEOs, presidents, and leaders of mobility are reading these articles and reaching out directly. The ROI has been really strong,” Carrie said.

From curated media placements to thought leadership to strategic award wins, Abode’s work has elevated 3Sixty’s presence while building authority and momentum in an increasingly competitive space.

Conclusion

For 3Sixty, Abode isn’t just a PR partner. “I consider Astrid and Stewart our team. They are part of the family,” said Carrie.

With two evolving brands, multiple regions, and an ambitious roadmap, 3Sixty needed a partner who could keep up with the pace and lead the way when it comes to strategic PR and communications.

“I don’t know what their secret sauce is behind the scenes,” Carrie added. “But they ask very few questions, the right questions, and then put those salient points together. Their rigor has a lot to do with why we’re seeing success.”
